Abrasives

 

Leering Hengelo can supply a wide range of abrasives direct from inventory. We only sell abrasives that meet the highest quality standards. It is possible to place orders for a single 25 kg bag or a whole truckload. Our staff members will ensure quick and accurate delivery. We can also be of service with regard to dust disposal.

 

We will gladly provide advice about what is the most suitable abrasive for your purposes. Our demonstration room is available for use under expert supervision where you can test your own products. We can assist with roughness measurements, abrasive selection, shot size determination and the most suitable blasting techniques.

 

Abrasives are generally divided into the following categories:

 

Metallic:

• slag (one-off usage)
• cast iron grit
• grit and shot (steel and stainless steel)
• cut wire (steel, stainless steel, aluminium and zinc)

Non-metallic:

• corundum (various grades)
• garnet (Australian sand)
• glass beads
• aluminium granulate
• nut shells
• ceramics
• polymers

Ceramic abrasives are currently subject to very stringent legislation in the Netherlands.

 

This legislation relates to storage, disposal and waste processing.
